Dubai Duty Free Irish Open

Enjoy a premium experience and witness outstanding golf
After the remarkable success of the 2018 Dubai Duty Free Irish Open, Paul McGinley takes the reins as host for the 2019 tournament - the first European Rolex Series event of the year.

McGinley, famously meticulous in his preparations for his 2014 Ryder Cup victory at Gleneagles, is applying the same creative and careful planning for the world-class event, which takes place from July 4-7, 2019 in the beautiful County of Clare.

This year’s event promises to be a memorable week where fans can enjoy world-class golf, music and entertainment, making for a special festival atmosphere. The event will be in the majestic surroundings of Lahinch – a lively town nestled at the head of Liscannor Bay, besides a 2km long beach of golden sands.

The Venue

Lahinch GC, ROI
Founded in 1892, Lahinch Golf Club is steeped in history and prestige. Its Old Course, voted number four course in Ireland, was designed by Old Tom Morris and later enhanced by Dr Alistair MacKenzie in 1926. The Club is also home to ‘The South’, Ireland’s oldest Amateur Championship, which has been won by Major Champions Graeme McDowell, Darren Clarke and 2019 Dubai Duty Free Irish Open host Paul McGinley.

“Lahinch is one of Ireland’s great golfing venues, not just because of the golf course but also the town, which is right on the doorstep of the golf club and is always buzzing with life. That whole region on the west coast is just very special.” Paul McGinley
